BUDGET-FRIENDLY MOVING SOLUTIONS

Are you moving abroad and are you looking for a smooth, professional move, fitting in a restricted budget? Lion Movers offers Budget-friendly solutions for most sorts of moves and will advise you on how costs can be reduced on your move, depending on your situation and needs. We will assist you in finding the most appropriate solution and fit it in a cost-reduced proposal. Here are some of the possibilities:

• groupage road transports: On certain European destinations we can offer you groupage transports, mostly suited for small volumes and if you are not in a hurry. The packing will be done as usual, but the transport is organized in a large truck, combining small loads into one big shipment. The date of delivery cannot be chosen in that case and you will need to be present at destination when the goods arrive. (the dates are usually confirmed 1-2 weeks in advance) Combinations with the tailor made service is possible.

• Back load transports: On European destinations, back-load transports may as well be organized. We often have removal trucks from our agents arriving in Belgium, which could take a shipment back to the origin country. We can fit your shipment on one of these trucks and thus obtain a very good rate to take back your shipment and have it delivered at destination.

• Do-it-yourself transports: Owe can offer you ake back your shipment and have it delivered at destination.k to the origin country.men most European destinations, you may want to choose a minimum formula, where you do not have to pay someone to do things you may prefer to do yourself. Examples are packing, disassembling, carrying the items to the truck, etc… Just like in local moves you can even just rent a van or truck and a driver, and take care of the rest yourself.

• Groupage sea transports: (LCL) (Less than a Container Load): Here an overseas move is packed, loaded and handled like a direct transport. However afterwards the goods will be brought to our warehouse, where we will make a size-made, watertight wooden crate in fumigated wood. This crate will be added to a groupage container in the port of departure, the transport will take place in the same container, and upon arrival at destination, we will organize customs clearance, pick-up and delivery of the container. This a very useful solution for volumes up to about 8-9m3. On higher volumes it is more efficient and less expensive to use a full container load (FCL)

• Do-it-yourself sea transports, partially: Also on overseas removals, a number of things can be done by yourself without causing too much of a problem. Examples are the packing of books, clothes and other non-fragile items. This can be done without too many disadvantages, under conditions that these pre-packed boxes are left open for inspection and verification of the contents. This way the insurance cover will be complete and expensive customs inspections can be avoided.

• Do-it-yourself sea transports, completely: In theory you could even organize a full removal yourself, but considering the present anti-terrorism measures, we tend to advise against this for most countries in the world. Packing and doing the complete removal yourself may attract the strictest customs inspections, costing more than the amounts saved by doing the packing yourself.
